Huw Evan Evans-Bevan
Having studied Hotel & Business Management in Switzerland and spent time with the Savoy and Hilton, Huw returned to Wales not only to pursue various rural activities but to establish, along with business partner Charlie Inkin, the very successful restaurant, pub and country hotel: The Felin Fach Griffin. When faced with the possibility of Felin Newydd leaving the family, Huw took on the huge challenge of finding an alternative life for the family home. By now The FFG and Eatdrinksleep Ltd were in safe hands so he turned his full attention to breathing new life into Felin Newydd and now, with a new (and far prettier) business partner, Countrypad LLP has been established.
Elizabeth Sævareide
Business partner and lady friend – Elizabeth very wonderfully decided to give up the Norwegian fjords for a life in the valleys, and before you make any judgements about her mental condition, know that she spent the mandatory 5 years at Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz in Southern Germany and left with an MBA. Not only tidy but clever too, Elizabeth speaks 4 languages, and though her working background is predominantly in the world of marketing, by the time she left her last position with OSL Elizabeth had become the Party Queen and was managing considerable entertainment budgets.
Lady J Evans-Bevan
Lady J, mother of four, wife of one, grandmother of three (so far) and chief of the equestrian department – President of the Welsh Pony & Cob Society 2005-2006. Master marmalade maker, head horder, director of disagreements, wool weaver, 5 star needle worker, saddle-soap maker, legendary last minute large party chef and without doubt the most wonderful mum any easily side-tracked, unable to make a decision, argumentative, “yes, why don’t all twenty-three of you come and stay for the weekend” son could want.
Sir Martyn Evans-Bevan
The encourager and enthusiast behind this hair-tearing project sadly exiled to Jersey just when the work became really heavy. He has however managed to watch from a safe distance giving calculated and almost scientific advice as required.
The Green Fingers
Revis Cruttenden, ex Area Manager for the Women’s Farm and Gardening Association and Meg Wainwright have taken over from Charlie Ryrie, who has sadly returned to her pen and desk. Thankfully Revis and Meg (who is our W F & G A student and whose skills were honed under Charlie’s watchful eye) have poured their enthusiasm and knowledge into the Felin Newydd gardens with obviously wonderful results. Spring has arrived and the gardens are re-born. After so many years of minimal attention the difference is truly fantastic.
Mork
We have finally managed to persuade Mork to take the big leap and leave his caravan! Not altogether as intended as he has literally left it in the paddock! Anyway Mork’s help has been essential at Felin Newydd – no problem is too big or too smelly. I am not sure how we would manage without him!
House Keeping
Yam’s big smile and determination to perfect her hospital corners has ensured that Felin Newydd is kept spic and span and shiny. Her Nepalese Vegetable curry is unmissable!
Mrs Phillips
Guardian angel and head of knowing where everything is.

The solution – Tony has the ability to recognize, identify, locate and solve the problem before anyone knows anything about it.
