Felin Newydd House

Map of Wales Directions to Felin Newydd House from London

M4 westwards, your first noticeable check point will be the £5.30 honour charge as you enter Wales.

At junction 24 leave the M4 and head northwards on the A449 (direction Monmouth)

After roughly 12 miles take the Abergavenny exit off the A449 and join the A40 towards Abergavenny and Brecon.

Now follow the A40 for about 20 miles, passing through Abergavenny, Glangrwyne, Crickhowell and Bwlch. 6 miles beyond Bwlch the A40 transforms into dual carriageway, at the end of the d-c the A40 meets the A470 at a roundabout. Take the right hand exit towards Builth Wells on the A470.

After 4.5 miles the A470 turns left still towards Builth Wells (if you find yourselves in Bronllys you have overshot the left hand turn by 1 mile) after turning left the A470 will take you up a steepish hill past one left hand turning, then past a farm and recently renovated cream building on your right. After the next left turn towards Llandefalle you should notice some rusty railings on the left (you are still on the A470) at the end of the railings and a short bit of downhill the front gates will be on your left, a pair of rusty, black gates and a cattle grid.

From Stanstead Airport

M11 towards London, join the M25 anti-clockwise, westbound. You join at junction 28 and the next junction is 27 (the M25 is bad enough in the right direction but to discover you are heading in the wrong direction can be extremely depressing). You join the M4 at junction 15 then as above.
